I've reviewed probably three products in my life, none of them having a thing to do with law school, so my desire/compulsion to review this book is "kind of a big deal"!On a more sincere note, in my experience, most law school supplements and even most Nutshells are not concise enough or well organized enough to really prove valuable as exam aids or study guides. This book is absolutely the exception, though.I knew I had made a good purchase about 2 pages into the first chapter when I stumbled across a TWO SENTENCE summary that summed up the interrelationships between law, equity, contract, tort and their corresponding available or potential remedies. I'd been fuzzy on it all since my first year, but all of a sudden the author(s?) spelled it out in a linear, organized fashion.The book is divided into legal several chunks and explains all you need to know for exams or for real life clarification on this aspect of the legal process, and manages to do so in a couple hundred pages. If you're looking for a supplement or just confused, go pick this up. Do it. Now. :)
These Nutshells, in my opinion are one of the top two study aids on the market. This book will help you learn the broad concepts that the class is about before you have the actual class and begin the readings from the case book. Also, most of them aren't very long, so it makes a super refresher book before really starting to study for finals. Naturally, with free shipping, I think AMAZON is the best place to purchase them.
This book is extremely helpful because it provides great explanations and does an excellent job of distinguishing equitable remedies from remedies at law.
