Little did Zane know his wife was aware of this indiscretion but saw the change in him she was unable to make.However, affairs of the heart come with consequences, and There are Two Sides to Every Story is an amazing journey of one couple's fight for the love they both desire. It is a read which I'm still processing daily as it holds incredible value to the human condition.
I read this book AFTER I read "I Know What Your Doing: The Whole Story". The story itself is a heart wrenching, gripping tale of a married man with twin daughters who has lost himself to depression when he can no longer emotionally feel the happiness his life has always offered him. I can express to you how powerful this story is or how much I enjoyed going through the journey with Zane and Jenna. What does disappoint me is after reading "I Know What Your Doing: The Whole Story", I was expecting more from Jenna's point of view during all of this, rather than a retelling of what I had already read with a nominal amount of paragraphs added that weren't in Zane's tale. Either way, it's a 5 star rating. There's no taking away from the storyline, the author, or the personalities in the book.
I have thought and thought about this review. I loved each book in this combined set individually for different reasons. Each book will give you a glimpse into the world of Zane and Jenna. It is packed with a rollercoaster of emotions. If you truly read and feel the words put into each of these stories, you will cry with the heartache and pain, want to throw your kindle with the anger, but also wrap yourself up in the love that threads throughout them all. I am honored to have been able to read each one of them and would recommend them to everyone.
I was hooked from the very beginning. Zane and Jenna done an amazing job with this one. I felt more emotions with this series than I have ever felt with anything else that I have ever read. The writing pulls you in, and you begin to feel what the all of the characters are feeling. I advise you to have tissues handy. If you are like me you’ll need them!Zane takes us on an emotional journey through a time of his life that changed everything. Because it is based on real-life events and this is their true story, and he shows us every twist and turn, the good and the bad, the tears and the smiles.Zane is a husband to Jenna and a father of beautiful twins. Even with the perfect family, Zane feels like something is missing and can’t figure out exactly what it is immediately. Once Zane figures out what he is lacking he takes a path that he is unsure of, with Chad an old friend from college.It was very sad to see the way everything unfolds and effects everyone. Jenna goes through the roughest time of all of them, yet even during this time she is still a really strong woman..We find out how his choices effect not only him, but Chad and Jenna as well. He shows us how all of the heartache and his marriage falling apart leads him down a road of bad decisions. When he faces something he didn't expect to happen to him, he fears it could be more heartbreaking for Jenna than his past mistakes, and he isn't sure how to deal with himself or the situation at hand.So much has happened causing him to hurt two of the people he cares about most. Now, he has to find his way back, and hope that his more recent decisions won't cause more destruction.Jenna tells you her thoughts, fears, and how she felt going through all the hardships that her and her husband Zane faced. While reading her side of their story you see the love she has for Zane and her strength as a woman shine bright. Jenna never gave up on her husband or their marriage, but she didn’t just ignore everything and act like it didn’t happen either. Through her heartbreak she put her foot down and took control of the situation.In the same situation most people would give up and walk away but Jenna shows us that if you truly love someone than you CAN make it through ANYTHING that comes your way!I highly recommend ‘There Are Two Sides To Every Story’!!This series is hot, heartwrenching, and was life changing for me. There is so much that Zane and Jenna shows us in their own version of events, but you will have to read for yourself as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
Wow, I finished this book a few days ago and it took me that long to gather my thoughts. What an amazing book this was. It had all the feels! I give Zane and Jenna 5 stars each for having the courage to put their story out there for the world to read. I have to admit, I did not like Zane or Chad very much throughout this book and had the utmost respect for Jenna and Melissa. As the story progressed and more was revealed my feelings towards Zane and Chad changed. This is a well written, emotionally charged book! I feel it should come with a tissue warning as well. This book was a gift to me from Maggie Jane Schuler who said, "Perfect lives are not always perfect." There Are Two Sides To Every Story is an excellent example of this.
I am speechless but not in a bad way, I know that it had to take a lot of courage to allow us into your life and read part of your most private moments. I was not able to put the book down reading into the wee hours of the mornings. My emotions were all over the place. Sometimes life is not a fairytale ending, but you control it. Jenna was a strong women in Zane's story. She fought for him and in the end helped him through a rough time in a journey that started a long time ago. This story is so intense. I cried, there were times I would cry out "oh no" then I would be "you go, Jenna"!!. Wow just Wow. Take a chance and follow Zane and Jenna in their amazing Journey. Thank you for sharing your story.No matter what life throws at you, you have the power to overcome it. I will be reading more book written by Zane Michaelson!!
This is an absolutely AMAZING, must read. It's incredibly raw, real, heart wrenching, with a lot steam at times. This book is my top read this year & will probably never leave my heart.
