Tim Ernst is Arkansas' Wilderness Photographer. Some of his credits include National Geographic, Audubon, Backpacker, Outside, Outdoor Photographer, American Hiker, Natural History, Country, Chevy Outdoors, and Arkansas Times magazines, Sierra Club and Hallmark calendars, National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service maps and brochures, Readers Digest Books, and The New York Times. Surprisingly wonderful. I expected descriptions with a few b/w photos for selected waterfalls. Instead, there are beautiful full color photos of more than 200 waterfalls (second edition) by noted nature photographer Tim Ernst. Each waterfall has a description, maps of roads and hiking trails, trail difficulty ratings, notes about nearby features, GPS coordinates, UTM coordinates, and even notes for “kid-friendly” waterfalls and whether you can see the waterfall from your car. If you’re a devoted Arkansas visitor, keep this book in your car at all times. If you’re more of an armchair traveler like me, “Arkansas Waterfalls” is a delight.

A it was a gift for my husband. He loves taking pictures of waterfalls. Now he can find the best falls and when it’s the best time to visit each one. Very helpful book. Now he has so many new waterfalls to visit, and Never will be disappointed again! Love this book.

So excited to finally get this book! I love the details include on each waterfall! Great source of information. Love the fact that he marks which waterfalls are kid-friendly! Makes this an easy go to book for waterfalls!

We have only read about 30 pages so far but I believe the author knows what he's talking about and he gives you a lot of information. We moved here 5 years ago but do not know many places to go for sightseeing and this book will be helpful. We like photos in the book also.

Great book. Told of some waterfalls nearby that we weren't aware of.

It's a great book with pictures and directions! However the book lists waterfalls all the way through page 300, the problem is there are only 288 pages in the book!!!!! One in particular was the reason I bought the book due to an up coming vacation.

This is a good and complete book on the subject. It is full of great color pictures. Just for reference, most of the waterfalls are dry in the summer.

This book is as advertised - an excellent introduction to patent law. I was interested in something a little more deep though... I'm not a lawyer & hadn't planned on drafting anything, but wanted a more nuanced understanding of how patents get overturned after years of being on the books etc. I had bought this book along with "Invention Analysis and Claiming" by Slusky, and between the two of them found Slusky's book to leave me more satisfied about the details of the claims, although it's also much longer! Ultimately happy with this purchase too though, as it includes lots of condensed information about the entire ecosystem.

Solid, solid, solid. I've worked in startups, but hadn't gotten proper exposure to the patent system.I was fortunate enough to go to an undergrad school that had free seminars, and I'd go, but I never... really... grasped what was going on fully.Jeff Schox helps change that - legitimately with this comprehensive overview on the ins and outs of such an important topic for innovators and those who work with them. Full-disclosure: I got the chance to meet Jeff and take his class at Stanford, and it only highlighted MORE just how useful this text is. You don't have to be me or take his class at Stanford or Y-Combinator (though I recommend it) - you can just read this book.A huge thank you to Jeff for taking the time to de-mystify what can often seem an almost purposefully mystifying system! Just fantastic. Get the book. Get the knowledge.

I loved this book. As a software engineer I have several software patents and have a working knowledge of many of the terms, but the author does a good job tying all the terms together and really explaining the true definitions. He gives good examples non-obviousness and novelty...and the case law references do a good job explaining areas/pitfalls we inventors typically ignore..that could ultimately decrease the value of our patents.If you are an inventor or looking to start..check out this book.

It was fast shipping. Don't remember exactly how long after I ordered it, but it arrived sooner than I had expected. However, I almost returned the book when I received it. There is no table of content. But once I started reading it, I enjoyed it. It is a good summary of patent law (it even includes a good summary of introduction to other IP at the beginning). I would still hope there is a table of content for convenience to look up certain chapter (and that's why I'm not giving a 5 star), but, for the most part, so far, I am satisifed.

A thorough overview of a patent, and where patents fit within the legal realm of intellectual property and strategy. I used this text for a patent law course, to supplement the teachings. The text includes supreme court cases that give an overview of the history of patent requirements.

Used this text for Jeff's class on patent law at Stanford (I'm an engineering PhD with no previous patent law experience). Very straightforward and easy to digest -- you could read the whole book in a day, and yet the information is very deep and rich. The case law examples provided are very interesting and relevant -- I have already found myself citing them in conversations about patent strategy with colleagues. Highly recommended to any newcomer in the patent space!

I thought this book was an easy-to-understand introduction to patent law. The key concepts are well-explained and the language is clear. I would recommend this book if you are looking to learn about the basics of patent law.

Great for the budding entrepreneur and for anyone looking to write their own provisional patent. The examples used to illustrate novelty and non-obviousness are quite helpful. It provides sufficient depth for an engineer without any formal IP law training.

Another great story by Wendy Meadows!!! I have enjoyed everything I have read by Wendy. I like the premise of this new series. Gift baskets are a fun storyline. I love Spot the bird. He is hysterical. I like Preston the police chief a lot. Hope the next book is ready soon 😊👍

The plot was okay but it was very confusing when the point of view changed every couple of sentences. One paragraph would be from the main woman's mind and then the next sentence from the police chief's.

I liked the. Storyline. It made you guessing who might have been involved.....and as one door opened another one closed. The writer kept you guessing while you did twists and turns. I enjoyed reading the story.....!!!!

I enjoyed the quick, easiness of this tale. The characters are believable and the plot just thick enough to keep you interested. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries.

This is the first book in this series and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading additional books as they become available.

What a mystery! Nothing seemed be fit to solve the crime. Thanks to the parrot,it all works out! Liked the interactions of the characters.

I only remember giving one book, out of the hundreds that I have reviewed, a one star review. This book was almost the second. The only reason I gave it two instead, was because I realize how hard it is to write a book, and to actually finish one, deserves some kudos. But I do not recommend this book, unless the author does some serious editing.The biggest problem with it is how Meadows wrote the point of view. In one paragraph there can be three different people’s points of view. I found myself having to reread many parts to figure out who was talking.The books that I’ve read that have different points of view, often will have the new chapter with the person’s name, and then go from there. But this book would not lend itself to that style since it’s a very short book, and usually that style is done in Thrillers, not Cozies.Perhaps an easy fix would be to separate the story into more paragraphs, add some more better dialogue, and another round of edits.The other problem I had with this book was with the shop owner, Hillary, and how often she mentioned her husband’s death. If this book was a 350 page cozy that would be one thing, but when a quarter of the 90 pages is her talking, thinking, or remembering the past in regards to her late husband, it’s just too much.The mystery itself was pretty easy to figure out, it practically tells you in the description on Amazon. But at this point, an easy mystery is the least of this books problems.To end on a positive note, I think the older lady that helps out in the basket shop, and Hillary’s parrot, have a lot of potential has fun characters in this series. This storyline could be the basis of a very entertaining cozy.

Despite the title of the product this book, in e format, does not contain a MindTap Acess code. Which was the whole reason I wanted to buy the book. Waste of $130, which I am having refunded. If you just need the code, get it from MindTap, this will put me behind in my class.

This book is probably long out of print by now but it was a decent book that explained the concepts of business communication. I believe it was an edition behind the one we used in class, but the information was still largely relevant.

I would say that the book comes in great condition. It is the exact version that is stated, comes in perfect condition, it's a hard back. There really isnt much else to say, it's perfect and affordable.

I'm happy that I received the book earlier than expected!The outside cover appeared as pictured, but the pages looked like someone made a black & white photo-copy of the book and bound it together. All the same material is there but it is lacking color and the text us a bit blurry. It was relatively cheap, so I suppose I got what I paid for.

As a college business communication instructor and corporate writing consultant of 20+ years, I feel my career is about to take a quantum leap forward with my discovery of this magnificent compendium of materials. Mary Ellen Guffey has done ALL the hard work! Juicy, readable text: done. Riveting "inside" information on cool corporations: done. Web-based support? Manuals? PowerPoints? Videos? Done. Fresh writing prompts, some packaged with the research already done? Done. With my old text, I've been drowning in an attempt to supplement and update and enrich the dated material enough to keep it relevant and arresting. Now I'm finding that I have plenty of time to interact with students over their own writing and presentations. I've always felt one-on-one and small-group interaction to be a huge part of my mission as a classroom teacher. Thanks to Mary Ellen Guffey, I'm able to do more of it, while spending less time overall on take-home work. Thank you, Mary Ellen, from the trenches--not just for a marvelous tool, but for a whole toolbox full of them.

This textbook is expensive. I think the price is absurd.However, the information contained is worthwhile. Guffey could have condensed a lot of material.Things that work in the book's favor are the checklists at the end of sections and a summary of the chapter. Small useful side menus abbreviating useful terminology or steps are littered through out the book; and they are worthwhile to review and use.Condense the text and make it more affordable. I say to Guffey stop aiding Publishers the in grifting of student's pockets.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. The main characters were all interesting and I was hopeful for the ending and it did not disappoint. Toward the end I found myself not wanting it to end quite yet and to me that is one of many things that make a good book. I felt sad for Eddie because it was like he was treading water like crazy but going to drown anyway, yet he was still trying to survive. I won't spoil the ending but even with what happened to him, I liked the ending because I think he was going to become a different person and still have his family. Of course this would happen because Grace became a different person. I loved the descriptions of Grace's gardens because I could feel the cool shade and appreciate the beauty from the descriptions and I would find myself wandering around in the kitchen after reading about the lunches Grace would put together! All in all, a really good read for me.

Summer in Nantucket brings out the best and the worst in the residents.Grace and Eddie Pancik are an acknowledged "power couple." He, with his real estate/construction business and Grace with her gardening business, their names are on everyone's lips that particular summer.Madeline Llewelyn is Grace's best friend. Filled with juicy gossip and a whole lot of scandal, this is a must have bead read! How I let this author slip by on my radar is downright horrendous. I want to grab all of her books and nestle them on my bookshelf. I want to pack them all up, go to Nantucket for the week, and read them all one by one. I feel like I have been missing so much by not reading them and am slapping myself because of it. If you are a fan of women's fiction and love novels that are downright scandalous then this is a must read! I am so glad I grabbed a copy when it was on sale because I am now an instant fan.Elin Hilderbrand does a wonderful job at bringing her characters to life. This book is told in 4 point of views (don't worry, it's easy to follow and will not confuse you) and allows us insight into every juicy detail. We have Grace, mother of twin teens, who may or may not be having a fling with her gardener. The we have Madeline, mother of one, and author who is having a hard time coming up with her next novel in time for the deadline. Madeline may or may not be writing a book about a close friend- sharing a shameful secret in the process. Next is Eddie. He is Grace's husband. He is living the high life in Nantucket only, his funds are quickly dwindling. Good thing he found a way to get more money... Only, it may be quite illegal. Finally we have Hope. She is one of Grace's twin daughters. She's a high school student, book nerd, and polar opposite of her twin sister Allegra. She would rather read a book than deal with drama, especially after what happened between her and a school mate, but she can't seem to stay out of the drama! What happens between everyone involved in this book is quite scintillating and you aren't going to want to miss out on what happens with each person!If you are looking for the perfect summer book, Elin Hilderbrand is clearly a must have author! I am going to be grabbing all her other books because I know she is worthy of a BIG binge read this summer! I highly recommend this one. It's a whole lot of fun and shouldn't be missed!

I needed a novel that didn't require too much thinking or looking up words. The Rumor met those needs, but it wasn't long before I was skipping pages of the book to get it to move along. The book has no foreshadowing, no suspense - nothing difficult to sort out or make you think even a little bit. It was truly vacuous. I was hoping for something with a little more depth. The book has a surprising number of trashy people.

I had read Barefoot quite a few years ago and just loved it. So I'm not sure why its taken me so long to read a second novel by Hilderbrand. But the good news is that I now have so many to catch up on!I really enjoyed this one. The characters were realistic and believeable. I loved the setting of Nantucket, especially since Mass. is my native state. I got engrossed in the story from the first chapter. Excellent writing, wonderful characters, great description of places and I could visualize them easily in my mind. The story had a satisfying ending and I'm so glad I rediscovered Hilderbrand!I'm now reading her first novel, The Beach Club, AND I'm listening to the audio version of The Love Season. I'm loving both as much as this one. I see some contented reading ahead for myself.
