I highly suggest this book to anyone undecided and/or open-minded on the abortion issue. The book consists of a series of essays by thoughtful,intelligent people on all sides of the issue. There also brief recaps of the major abortion decisions with (part) of the opinions of both majority and dissenting justices.Notice I said all sides, not both, as several writers take a middle ground on the issue. While almost all of the essays in this selection were well-argued, I found a few to be more compelling than the others. The last essay,by noted author Gregg Easterbrook, was the most compelling to me. He argues for a compromise where abortion would be legal in the first two trimesters, but banned in the last trimester. I also thought law professor's Michael McConnell's criticism of Roe v. Wade was compelling.
