We live in a time when it is easy to think that everything is on the Internet. There is so much about the Cohen Brothers there; we can easily loose sight of the fact that they flourished and were quite famous before the Internet even existed.This book was published in 2006. It contains many classic verbatim translations of interviews with the Cohen Bothers about their works from the days before the Internet existed. Many exist only in VHS, radio, or other audio-visual formats that are not always easy to access. Before this book, print translations of these interviews were nonexistent.If you’re doing comprehensive research into the Cohen Brothers, especially how they viewed their own films at the time they were making them, then this book will be an essential tool.I used this book extensively recently when I was taking a three-month college-level seminar on the Cohen Brothers’ films. There were many times when I was able to share caveats from this book that provided significant new insights helpful to the entire class. I am pleased I purchased the book and recommend it to others in a similar academic situation.

Got this for my husband awhile back. We love the Coen Brothers movies, especially The Big Lebowski. He really enjoys reading it in the bathroom.
Book covers the fist 20 years of the brother's career in film. The fact that it's a compilation of interviews, leads to repetition but that's to beexpected. All and All I enjoyed it.
